Rate

During winder and summer breaks, my rate is quite low. Often it is close to $60 or $80 per hour. Near exam dates, my rate is usually over $120 per hour.

If you contact me using the form below, you’ll skip the WyzAnt service fee. Therefore my fee will be lower than what is advertised on WyzAnt, although I can’t quote an exact price until you send the course material that you’d like to discuss.

Discounts

I may offer discounts for various reasons, including:

  • Meetings on weekday mornings.

  • Tutoring in real analysis, probability, or measure theory.

  • A large number of hours.

Course Information

For any college tutoring, I will need you to send me the course assignment that you’d like to talk about in our meeting, before I can quote a price. Colleges do not all teach the same material, even for courses with the same title. Seeing the assignment helps me to decide whether I’m the best tutor for your needs, and it shows me exactly what you need to learn.

  • If your assignment is a file (PDF / DOCX / JPG), you can make this process go faster if you do the following first.

  1. Upload the assignment that you’d like to discuss to Google Drive (or other cloud hosting).

  2. Make a link to the file. For Google Drive and some other services, set the link to “public”.

  3. Include the link in your email to me.

  • If the problems that you’d like to discuss come from a textbook, you can tell me the textbook title and problem numbers. There is a decent chance that I already own the textbook.
